Louder Than A Bomb is the largest youth poetry festival in the world.
Louder Than A Bomb is more than an event. It’s a movement. It’s a city-wide poetry festival that celebrates the voices of youth and provides a platform to share their stories and build community.
Programs are currently in 16 schools in the GTA.
This 12-week program brings Toronto’s top spoken word artists into the classroom to explore storytelling and the written word. Schools then compete in poetry slams with other schools in the semi-finals for a place in
the finals, a large scale event bringing Toronto together.
The Louder Than a Bomb festival, which started in Chicago was the subject of an award-winning documentary in 2010.
